Dr. Donald C. Paup

Host of the 2012 Mid-Atlantic Classic, the New Jersey Badminton Club’s head and organizer, Wallace Lee, took time during the March 2012 tournament at the PAL facility in Parsippany, to offer his perspective on the club and the sport of badminton.

Silver Spring, Maryland resident Desmond Wong lives and breathes badminton.  A nationally ranked player, Wong especially enjoys coaching, which he began back in 2000 at a handful of community centers in the Rockville and Silver Spring area.  Eventually, he formed a “mini-club,” renting school space and trying to drum up interest in the program.

                                     Lock Haven Badminton Club

WBAL-TV, the Baltimore affiliate of NBC, is coming to the Northeast Regional Recreation Center in Parkville, MD on Saturday August 4 to videotape a special feature on badminton. The series will air on one of the morning newscasts during the Olympics. It will also be showcased during one of their Ozone shows, which is a nightly show dedicated to the Olympics.
