The badminton playing venues in the South East corner of Virginia are as follows: Kempsville Recreation Center, Virginia Beach: Tuesday 7pm - 9:15pm Thursday 8pm - 9:15pm Saturday 10:30am - 1pm Sunday 2pm - 4:45pm Three courts, all abilities (children welcome at the weekend), Tel: 757 474 8492 Princess Ann Recreation Center, Virginia Beach Saturday 9am - 12 noon Three courts The highest standard of courts and play in our region, Tel: 757 426 0022 Great Neck Recreation Center Friday 6:30pm - 8:15pm (sometimes later) Three courts. Check it's open before turning up! All Virginia Beach playing venues are free to Virginia Beach Recreation Center Members and any visitors for a $7 fee or $50 for a 10-visit "fun pass" ($30 for children). Also, from mid-October to mid-June (when the school is open): Warwick High School, Newport News Mondays & Thursdays 6:30pm - 9pm Good range of playing standards All welcome, No fee. Badminton instruction classes are held at this venue most Mondays from 6:30pm to 7:30pm (open play then continues from 7:30pm to 9pm)
