A typical training schedule for Howard Bach

Need to train, here's a routine that will help you get to the top... Notice the emphasis on footwork, stamina and drills.


 Monday  7:00 - 9:30 AM  multi-shuttles ex: 50 birds x 15 sets; Weight-training
 Monday  4:00 - 7:00 PM  agility workout ex: 20-30 mins of physical conditioning (fast pace); 2 on 1 drills ex: the one person attacks and the two defends and feeds. after: technique shots
 Tuesday  7:00 - 9:30 AM  footwork w/squash racket ex: 1min x 10 sets; 1 on 1 pattern drills; Lastly; drive, net block drills 1 on 1 feeding
 Tuesday  4:00 - 7:00 PM  jump-rope 1min x 10 sets and 30 sec x 10 sets; defense and offense drills ex: no clear (15 mins), everything (15 mins); technique shots
 Wednesday  4:00 - 7:00 PM  game time; singles, doubles, or mixed-doubles with original or swap partners; handicap points when playing against junior team. Weight training
 Thursday  7:00 - 9:30 AM  multi-shuttles both feeding and working; target practice and placement shots with partners; rotational drills with partners for doubles and mixed doubles
 Thursday  4:00 - 7:00 PM  agility workout ex: quick sprints, long sprints and badminton specific movements; individual time to work on technique or specific areas of your game.
 Friday  7:00 - 9:30 AM  game day
 Friday  4:00 - 7:00 PM  shots, placement, technique shot practice, defense and offensive drills, pattern drills
 Saturday  8:00 - 10:00 AM  TRACK RUNNING; long distance or short distance depening on tournament dates. Weight training
